Coaching Certification

All baseball and softball managers and coaches affiliated with Babe Ruth League, Inc. are required to be certified prior to coaching (RE: Rule 0.04, Paragraph 5).  To register for the Babe Ruth Coaches Certification Course click on the link above.

 

Assistant Coaches need to complete the Basic Certification.

Head Coaches need to complete the Advanced Certification.

All coaches are required to go through the Grounds Keeper University Course and must complete Heads Up Coaches Concussion in Youth Sports Course.  Both are free courses.

 


Concussion Certification

Changing the Culture of Concussion Starts With You!

By taking this free, online course and using what you learn, you will be well positioned to improve the culture of concussion. Your actions can help create a safe environment for young athletes so that they can stay healthy, active, and thrive - both on and off the playing field.

The ABCA Barnstormers Clinics are one-day coaching clinics for baseball coaches of all levels. The clinics are focused on the fundamentals, with a full day of practical position-specific drills, coaching cues and practice organization tips that can be directly applied to your individual athlete or team.

The Barnstormer Clinics are geared towards youth, academy, high school and travel coaches and instructors in the area but are also great for any baseball enthusiast or parent who wants to learn more about the game from some of the most respected coaches in the sport.


Baseball ACE Community Clinics are an integral part of Baseball ACE, a program offered in partnership by the ABCA and USA Baseball. ACE Community Clinics, which will be held year-round at facilities nationwide, provide coaches with the opportunity to learn and grow by networking with local coaches while participating in on-field demonstrations. The clinics are open to coaches at any level of the game, as well as any baseball parents or enthusiasts.

ACE Community Clinics consist of three hours of instruction covering topics such as:

  • Hitting
  • Pitching
  • Fielding
  • Throwing
  • Practice planning
  • Drills for all levels
  • Keeping the game fun for all players and coaches
  • And more!

Baseball ACE is an educational program for any and all individuals who are currently coaching baseball or aspire to coach at any level of the game. 

Upcoming Community Clinics 

These clinics are free to all coaches in the area no matter your affiliation. 

August 15th from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm at the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp Baseball Grounds.
